Ex N.E.R. 4-4-0 Class D20 62387 near Wooperton on the Alnwick - Coldsteam line.  The locomotive is propelling the irregularly rostered Alnwick to Ilderton parcels after through working on the line was curtailed after the floods of August 1948 and again in 1949 destroyed a couple of bridges between Ilderton and Wooler - effectively creating two branch lines and terminii.  The line closed in February 1953.  The passenger service had been withdrawn in 1930!
